Reboot

Not every autograph needs to be signed

Nor every glass filled.

Some songs best are best heard

With the words and music stilled.

In times of restraint we learn to truly seize

That which we’ve always had

For we must learn to unclench our fists

And simply behold what is in our hands.

Its putting down the paintbrush

And taking a step a step back

To pause and consider,

A re-evaluation, a moment to check the map.

A prayer for a fresh perspective

In hope to see old things anew

To rid ourselves of yesterday’s biases

And search for better view.

Every axe will blunt one day

Every pen will run dry

Every system needs a reboot

Every heart, another try.
