Shrug

When those  with strength shrug their shoulders

And wash their hands of the struggle of the weak,

And the wealthy behave as though
The poor do not exist.
When the powerful man does not see
The cause of the powerless as urgent as his own
Walking as though oblivious to inequality
Impervious to suffering
Indifferent.
Know then O mighty man
That there is a Defender who does not overlook the defenseless
A Redeemer who cares for those of whom you could care less.
And He will come with fire in His hands
And compassion in His eyes.
He will come.
Best believe it.

Do not be far from me,
For trouble is near
And there is no one to help

But you O LORD, be not far
off;
O my Strength, come quickly
to help me.

-Psalm 22:11, 19
