There is nothing quite like it.
A moment when your humanity has failed your divinity
When your reasoning fails to rationalize your guilt away
And the looming realization that despite your best efforts
You are still pretty messed up.
A moment when you admit your wrongs
And cease to allow them to perpetuate in denial.
Coming clean.
Making decisions.
Getting up. Again.
Choosing to let go of self pity
And resisting the urge of self-hatred
But holding on desperately to the Love
Your heart has always longed for-
The one the sees you as you really are
Yet still chooses you.
Fresh start.
You, O LORD keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light
-Psalm 18:28
