Sins of God

There are none.

Yet we accuse Him of many:

Child abuse-

He has abandoned us.

Having given us birth

He forgets us

And never returns our calls.

Mostly silent. Mostly indifferent.

We are not a priority.

He never really loved us.

Negligence-

Pain and suffering are evidence

That He has lost His grip.

We are in free fall.

Life is pointless chaos.

He started a project and has now left it to fend for itself

To devolve.

Entropy.

Unwise-

We cannot see His reasons

So we are sure He has none.

He is not “smart”

So we must make our own way.

His plans take too long

His paths are too obscure

Surely we can find a way

On our own.

Oppressive-

His rules are chafing.

And outdated.

He is too far off

To be in touch with our reality.

His “book of rules”

Is just another power trip.

He will crush us

In the end.

So live free while you still can.

Unloving-

They figured it out in the garden;

He is holding things back from us.

He does not have our best interests at heart.

What’s crazy about being human

Is that as flawed as we are

Our hearts continually “find” fault

In the Faultless One.

We,the guilty

Put the Guiltless One on trial

And find Him guilty.

God help us.

Yet they sinned still more against him, rebelling against the Most High in the desert. They tested God in their heart by demanding the food they craved. They spoke against God, saying, “Can God spread a table in the wilderness? He struck the rock so that water gushed out and streams overflowed. Can he also give bread or provide meat for his people?”

Psalm 78:17-20

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

1 John 1:5
