It is short sighted.
It is easy to complain about something not being as you need it to be.
But the question of personal responsibility never leaves you
You have a responsibility to honor God with your life
To love others,
No matter how dark the days may get
The things you are responsible for, remain that way.
And rather than being a weight that holds you down
Your faithfulness to personal responsibility
Will serve as a buoy in the roaring, stormy waters,
A steady place for your feet.
It is too easy, too convenient
To let yourself off the hook
To award yourself the right to be selfish
To not show up
To not be accountable.
To be a victim.
Oh, but you are much, much more than that.
