Consistent or Stuck?

Why be consistent?
What is it for?
Sure, showing up
Day after day matters,
But where is it going?
Doing what’s expected
And then doing it over and over again
May create stability
And predictability to our days
And a reputation for our name,
But creating the same situations
Over and over again
Is also the definition
Of being stuck.
If you are building a house,
It’s important to know when to
Stop laying bricks.
Consistency matters,
But it is also a great place to hide,
Routine is important
But it doesn’t absolve us
From answering the question,
‘What is this for anyways?’
