Are few and far between.
The older we get
The muddier the idea pool
Becomes.
In the begininng its easy,
A dirty diaper?
Change it.
A hungry infant?
Feed it.
A skinned knee
Bandage it.
But what do you for things like
Racism
Historical debt
And untractable human drama?
You pray for strength and guidance,
Do your best
And then hope like hell
That it’s enough
To keep it all
From burning down.
