Stuck on should

Been travelling a bit lately.
And I kept getting hung up
On how things
Should be
The Uber should be cleaner
The bed should be softer
The shower should immediately dispsnse hot water-
Little reminders daily
That I am not in charge
And that my basic expectation
Is that life should be going my way.
But rather than actually holding
The necessary people accountable
And making my experience better,
More often than not
Getting stuck on should
Turns a simple car ride
Into a crusade for cleanliness,
The overnight stay
Into an hour long tirade
On how I could do better
And turns the average experience
Into an excessively drab one.
Wisdom comes with knowing
Which hill to die on.
