On micro-management

Its a little bit ridiculous
If you think long and hard about it:
Showing up to work
So that you can make sure others work
Certain that the people you work with
Got out of bed
Cleaned themselves up
Commuted to your building (or logged onto Teams)
As fairly responsible adults
But once they entered
Suddenly became children needing a chaperone?
What is it exactly
About the workspace
That can reduce fully capable grown ups
Into cogs in need of a constant nudge?
Did you really hire idiots?
Or are you just treating them
That way?
